GCS announced today that it has extended the interest relief program for Canadians affected by the global pandemic for an additional 90 days. Where allowed by GCS clients, interest relief and debt reductions have been granted to customers directly affected by illness, job loss, or income reduction through GCS collection efforts since March 2020 and were due to expire at the end of March 2021. Under the new guidelines, these programs can now be requested by any qualifying person with an account subject to GCS collection action up to June 30, 2021.
Note: Not all programs are available to all consumers, for all accounts, or where they are prohibited by law or regulation.
